Mr. Harrison's parents " are Mr. and Mrs. J. s Harrison, of ' Eltham. He studied under Mr. Proctor at Auckland, and went to Sydney as . a commercial artist, and then to New • ! York. He has given a one-man exhibi--1 tion of futuristic work at New York, of which Mr. Maurice Sachs says: "Harrison has much grace and manly strength. Obviously, he is a born painter. Ho has been influenced by, two great painters, Matisse, .in colourings, and Picasso, in construction. Hi» temperament and qualities will doubtless lead him to a conspicuous and successful career." Mr. R. C.
