MAORI CONCERT
TOWN HALL TOMORROW.
The Maoris have ever been ready to assist -worthy causes, and tomorrow a party of 40 will journey from the Otaki district to give, in the Town Hall at S p.m., a full-length grand Maori concert to assist the Mayor's Pimd for the relief of distress in this city. Representatives of the X^ati-Raukawa, Xgati-Toa, ' anil iSgali-Awa tribes will comprise the party, which includes many Maoris already well kiown in Wellington and-throughout Xcir Zealand in musical circles. In addition to quartets, part songs by the choir, and refrains by the whole party, solo items will be rendered by Mr. H. K. Tahiwi (baritone), Mr. D. Kikora (tenor and instrumentalist), and Mr. Hemi Kikihana (violinist). The poi dancers are under the capable leadership of Mrs. H. Te Hana, and Mr. Takerei Kohika will lead the hakas and war dances. Great care has been taken in selecting the various items and in arranging the programme. A very enjoyable evening is assm'ed, and as the Weliinston public always support Maori entertainments intending patrons should not leave their arrival too late. His Worship the Mayor has kindly consented to be present.
