The fields are silver tvitl.i slanting rain, . . The hills are grey, and the sea Motionless lies as a beast in pain, '/.'•' : And as patiently. — ■■^-Sky in a temper flings-to the ground ■ :• . .Rain in silver spears; The flowers, bedraggled, the trees, half-drowned, shed helpless tears: Ducklings revel: they love the rain, They like it cold and grey; But I'm tired of the streaming window-pane, It's time the sky lvas cheerful again; I'll wish for the sun with might and main, I want to play!
