BRITISH SAILORS' SOCIETY.
There was a very lai'ge attendance of men at the rooms of the British Sailors' Society on Wednesday on the occasion of a concert'arranged by Mrs.Oatesand Miss Marjorie. Flanagan. Every item was encored, the performers having to respond again, and again.:. 'Items were contributed by:—Mrs. Lawsou, Misses Noeline Hazelwood,. Pat Clements, Dawn Larsen, L. Kennedy, Dolores Harris, Peggy Smyth, Joyce Penman, L. Childs, Marjorie Penman, and Freda Harris, and Messrs. S. Rowe and Crofts. Miss Bessie Ferguson was the accompanist. At the conclusion a: vote of thanks was proposed to the party, and was carried with acclamation. Supper was served by the workers, the evening being brought to a close with the National Anthem.
