AN AUCKLAND REMIT A remit from the Auckland provincial council in regard to the appoint' ment of judges provoked considerable discussion at the annual conference of North Island A. and P. The remit was as follows:—"That the official list of judges as prepared by the Boyal Agricultural Society be scrapped in toto and that a-fresh, list be compiled calling upon breed societies to recommend names of judges, botii capable and willing to act when called upon. That in sections where no breed society can be asked to recommend judges the various A. and P. associations be asked to submit a. fresh list of names for those sections.
