LATE MR. MEADOWCROFT
Tlu1; Civic League, at its last meeting, recorded its deep regret at the death of Councillor Frank Meadowcroft, who had for some ten years given yeoman service to the city as a ntoinber of the City Council, and ejqwessed its most sincere sympathy with his widow and family. • ■ '■■„.. Reference to the passing of Mr. Meadowcroft was also made at the meeting of the Wellington Tire Board today, when the following motion was passed in silence:— :" That this meeting places on record its appreciation of the valuable services rendered to the board by the late- Mr. Frank Meadowcroft during his period as a board member. and expresses its sinecrest sympathy: with liia widow and family in the irreparable loss they have ■ sustained by his lamentot'l death."
