M.C.C. CABLE TO BOARD ANGLO-AUSTRALIAN CRICKET CRITICISM AT HOME United Tress Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received Juno 15, 11 a.m;) LONDON, June 14. Ben Travcrs, writing in the ''Star," says:—"The M.C.C.'s cable exhibits all the dignified unimpeachable characteristics of M.C.C. legislation at their worst. The authorities are prepared, to bankrupt the counties iv defence of what at heart they must know to be^ unsporting and in denial of what at heart they must know to, be true. "The barracking protest is justified* but out of place." . • The "Morning Post" says: "We, had; hoped the M.C.C. would'strive to, allay. rather than run the risk of again inflaming ill-temper. The substance of their protest may convince cool-headed judgment, but the terms inivhich it- is' couched arc little calculated to heal the breach." ' - ' :> The "Daily Mirror" says:—"The 81.C.C. lias given Australia the light answer. Plain talking was needed, and the storn rebuke of barracking is out to do good." , ,
