After midnight the,wind increased. to gale force- and showery ■conditions developed, the total fall being five points of raiu. - A fresh south-westerly wind prevailed in Dunedin yesterday. The morning there was fine, but the afternoon was overcast. The wind became strong during the night; and sonic heavy vain fell.
