HOUNSLOW OUT OF COURT
Since his return home from the Dunedin Meetings, Hounslow has been in a bad waj', suffering from the effects of a sevei'e cut in the coronet', caused by'a twisted plate on one of his hind feet, says a Chnstchiireh 'writer.. The trouble happened in his race;:on the concluding day of the'meeting. ,-' ■ -: ' The injmy is fairly deep, and Houuslow- is still unable to bear any weight on the affected limb. This will mean his absence from activities for some time, and will seriously, affect his winter progi'aTwne. He has been,a very unlucky liorse for, the last two seasons, 'and it is unfortunate for his' owner and trainer that just as he looked like securing high 'honours in the hurdling arena, .he should "suffer-suck a severe setback.
