DISCOVERY NEAR; LAWRENCE (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) ~ , DUNEDIN, • June 14.: It is reported from Lawrence; that the prospectors, Messrs. J. Williamson, M. Mclver, and' K. "Walker, who have been working various parts of Otago for some time, have found excellent prospects on property occupied by Mr. C. Lucas.at the Tuapeka Mouth, and claims have been applied for. •'__•• Miners have expressed the opinion that i tlic' old riverbed has been' struck, and that it is a continuation of the lead from the Tuapeka Mouth Gold Mining Company's claim, which proved very rich in the last few months. ■ It is also reported that Mr. R. Skinnnr, of Tuapeka Mouth, met_ with, considerable success in prospecting in. the same locality.
