KELBURN CLUB
A very satisfactory condition of affairt is shown in the annual report and balancesheet of the Kelburn Bowling Club; which is to be presented at the annual. meeting on June 27. . The report states that the membership of the club at the end of the year stood at 102 playing members and ten honorary members. During the year fourteen new playing members and one honorary member were elected, but the club lost twelve playing members and three honorary members by resignation or removal from Wellington. The statement of income and expenditure showed that the income amounted to £534 3s 6d, and the expenditure to £462 3s Bd. It was with deep regret that the committee recorded the death of Mr. P. G. Roussell, a highly-esteemed member of tha club. The care and attention given, to the greens by the greenkeeper (Mr.^iW. Bell) had been evidenped by the r provision of very much improved playing surfaces, which evoked the praise of; members and also many visitors. The greeiu had been surveyed, manured, and topdressed, and the committee anticipated a still further improvement next season. The thanks of members were dueto the green superintendent (Mr. M. Routley) for the time and trouble'he had taken to provide them with a first-class green.
