As extending the particulars recently published concerning the career of New Zealand's Liverpool Grand National Steeplechase winner, Moifaa, additional details are sent by "Hurdler" (Levin), and . these will undoubtedly prove of interest, not only to "Reader" (Palmerston North), but to all other racing men. "Hurdler" writes: — "Paddy Hickey was the man who bought Moifaa for Mr. Spencer Gollan. Hickey went with the horse to.England, and he trained him there to. win the 1904 Liverpool Grand National. At that time Hickey was.one of the1 leading horsemen in. New Zealand, and he also rode with success in England, L'bor being one of several good liovfes he rode to victory there. Mr. Frank Hickey, formerly of Taranaki and now of Levin, is a brother. Paddy Hickey was hurt riding.in England and he died there." '
