WOMAN'S FATAL FALL

TRAGEDY AT NGAHAURANGA

Falling from a Fetone-bound train as. it was commencing to pull out from Ngahauranga last night, Mrs. Caroline Byan, senior, a resident of Ngahauranga, was caught, beneath the. wheels and killed. The only person to witness the accident was the stationmaster^ at Ngahauranga, who saw a dark object fall to the rails. The train was moving very slowly at the time, and the stationmaster immediately gave the signal to stop. Some difficulty was experienced in extricating Mrs. Byan from under the carriage, and she died beforo the arrival of a doctor. - ' The late Mrs. Byan, who was 59 years of age, came to Ngahauranga from Australia. She leaves a husband, two sons, and two daughters.
