... . ♦ ■ BATTLE OF MESSINES The sixteenth anniversary or the Battle of Messines, in which the New Zealand division played such a prominent part, falls tomorrow, and will be commemorated by a special recital on the National War Memorial Carillon, Buckle treet. Commencing at 4 p.m., the Carillonist, Miss Gladys Watkins, will play the following programme:—(l) Canterbury Cathedral I Chimes; (2) Two War Songs; (3) "The [Bluebells of Scotland"; (4) "The Sunshine of Your Smile" (Ray); (5) "Marishka" (Hungarian folk song); (6) "E Pari Ra" (Maori Song of Parting); (7) Andante Cantabile (Denyn); (8) "She Is Far from the Land" (Lambert); (9) The Bell, "Messines" (sounded eight times); (10) National Anthem.
