Tho prosecution said that Khan, who was a colonel in tho Itampur State Forces, was formerly a groom earning two rupees a week. He conspired to bring1 the Nawab and his Government into hatred and create disaffection. His object waa to create a situation which would compel, the Nawab to send for him to deal with the disorder. Khaii was. sentenced to three years' imprisonment, but the Nawab granted a remission, of the sentence as a result of a petition for mercy.
