THE PARTY

(Original.) . . "I'm six years old today," I heard a voice say, and turning round, I siw a huge round ring of mushrooms. I was so surprised that I turned round again to "see. if it was real. "If was the Ring that spoke," and ■with this, a beautiful lady with long, dark hair, a golden frock on, and a gold circle round her hair, came up to me and said, "I am Fuiriel!" I had got over my fit of shyness now, and was eager to talk to Fairiel. Then, all of a sudden I wondored: What Would I talk about? Fishes? No, Fairiel mightn't know'anything about them: I just stood there and looked silly. Then I saw all the elves come in, bearing a banner, on which were greetings to the Fairy Ring's sixth birthday. After the procession ended, we all sat at the tables, where the fairy'food was< set. . * We were all gaily laughing and chatting, when somebody shouted, "Here comes old Mother Witch! Hide everyone, quick!" And at this moment the lights went out! All at once I felt someone clutching my hand. "Now I have you," a rough voice whispered. "Oh," I shouted. "Help!" All of a sudden, I found myself on the floor, in my own bedroom at home. Mother came in, and tucked me into bed again, telling mo not to dream again and fall out of bed, even if it was the Ring's birthday. "BOBBOLINK" (13).. Ko.rokoro.
