EXPLOSIONS IN MINES
LOSS OF LIFE IN JAPAN
\ KOBE, May 27. A terrific explosion in the Mitsui mine, Toyohara, Saghalien Island,, killed 4§, while 450 are still entombed. Rescue, if the men are alive, will be most difficult. Seven were killed and 239 injured in a coal-dust explosion in the Suzaki pit in Bonin Islands.
