(British Official Wireless.) •■'.■•■ RUGBY, May 26. The sum of £74,540,000 was applied for when tenders for the 2% per cent, conversion loan, 1944-49, and Treasury bills were opened. In the conversion loan £27,719,000 was allotted, applicants at £92 receiving 26 per cent, of requirements, and above that in full. In Treasury bills for three months £42,280,000 was allotted, tenderers at £88 18s 4d receiving 63 per cent., and above that rate in full. LONDON, May 27. Treasury bills sold at 6s 4.27 d per cent., the lowest discount rate ever recorded. Rates for Treasury bills on January 6 of this year opened at 16s 10.84 d per cent. On February 3, 14s 0.2 d per cent., March 3 vlls 4.39 d per cent., March 17 Bsi 10.9 d per cent., March 24 6s 9.27 d per cent., April 7 10s 11.25 d per cent.
