SHAKESPEARE SOCIETY.
The monthly meeting of the Shakespeare Society was held on Thursday evening, in the University Women's Clubrooms, Watcrworth Buildings, Lambton Quay. Mr. Clement May presided. During the evening Shakespearian songs were sung by .Mrs. Rishworth and Shakespearian solos were played by Mrs. H. D. Watson. . The reading circle presented the' second and third acts of "As You Like It." The respective parts -were taken, by the following:—Duke Senior, Mi\ Clement-May; Amiens and First Lord, Miss Edith Hind; Orlando, Mr. V. C. Pears; Adam, Mr.' W. | Koss; Rosalind, Mrs. C. Ross; C'elia, Mrs. M. Ames; Touchstone, Mr. J. P. Nicoll; Curin, Mr. F. J. Brooker; Phoebe, Miss .13. Hind; Silvius, Mr. Ennis; and Jacques, Mr. ¥. J. Jones. After, the reading a dainty supper was served and votes _ of thanks -were accorded those who participated in a very erjjoyablc programme.
