SUCCESS OF BOWLERS
(Eccciycd May 24, 1 p.m.) LONDON", May 23. Tho match, West Indies v. M.C.C., at Lord's, was won by West Indies by 152 runs. The scores were:—West Indies, 309 and 265; M.C.C., 246 and J79. In M.C.C.'s second innings Hendren made Cl, and Achong took five wickets for 40 runs. M.C.C. was in a winning position at the tea adjournment, when tho score was 143 for three wickets. After that, however, the slow left-hander, Achong, took three wickets for 19 runs, and the medium-paced bowler, Da Costa, took three for 17,* skittling their opponents in forty minutes. Achong1, a Chinese, is regarded as the best bowler of his type the West Indies havo had for-many years. Tho West Indies, commence a match today with Hampshire at Southampton, and they meet Surrey at tho Oval on Saturday.
