HANDSOME SALARIES

(British Official Wireless.) ' KUGBY, May 22. Tho Transport Minister, the Kt. Hon. P, J. Pybus, has announced that the salary of Lord Ashfield as first chairman of the London Passenger Transport Board would be £12,500 annually; and the salary of Mr. Frank Pick, president and general manager of the Underground Group, who is to be a whole-time member of the board, £10,000 annually.
