ROYAL PREROGATIVE
NO INTERFERENCE (INTENDED
(Received May 24, noon.) OTTAWA, May 23. The stand of the Canadian Government on titles is that: "The Sovereign can only be deprived of his prerogative right by statute of Parliament in a very special form which the Government does not proposo ito introduce." This declaration was made by the Premier (Mr. R. B. Bennett) in-the House of Commons on Tuesday. Ho stated that there would be no opportunity for discussing the question in the present session.
