A very enjoyable "Flag 500" party was hold recently at the residence of Mrs. Payne, Melbourne Road, Island Bay, in aid of the St. Vincent de Paul Ladies' Auxiliary.. Mrs. Payne received, the guests wearing a handsome black lace frock. She was assisted by Miss Payne, who. was iv scarlet and black. After a dainty supper, prizes were awarded to Mr. and Mrs. O'Donnell, Mr. and Miss Gardiner, and Mrs. Gallagher and Mr. Taylor. Among those present were Mesdames Cooch, . Lepper, O'Brien, McEwen, Hughes, Kinsclla, Cochrane, O'Donnell, Bleakley, Church, Kelly, O 'Driscoll, Gill, Taylor, Gardiner, O'Sullivan, Thurston, and Gallagher, Misses Evatt, Gardiner, O 'Regan, Craig, and Sutherland, Messrs.
