Frederick Patrick Hooker, driver o) the motor-car which crashed- from Milne Terrace on to Dcrwent Street, Island Bay, recently, four people- being killed, appeared before Mr. E. Page, S.M., at the Magistrate's Court today; ou a charge- of .recklessly driving a. motor-car, thereby causing the death of James Henry Woodj Marjorie Wood, Olga Bardebes, and. Ernest Dickson. . Mr. E. D. Blundell said that Mr. H. P. O'Leary would be appearing for the defendant at the hearing of the case, and as Mr. O'Leary was absent from Wellington at the present time ha ; asked for an adjournment for one week. The Magistrate granted the adjournment, and the defendant, who appeared ■on- summons, was given his liberty, ,
