HOSPITAL BOARD LEVY

(By Telegraphs—Press Association.) CHRISTCHUKCH, This Day. ■In a division in which the representatives of the country districts stood stolidly together in opposition to any increase in the present levy, the North Canterbury Hospital Board today defeated by 13 votes to 8 a motion by Mrs. McCombs that the levy over the whole district be increased by 1-lfid in order to supplement the amount available for tho benevolent committee.
