SUBSIDY ON WAGES
CHRISTCHURCH POLICY (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHBISTCHUECH, This Day. Although the continued payment by the Christcburch City Council of a subsidy' on the wages of its relief workers was brought up last night, the matter was deferred for final consideration at the next meeting. A . motion by Councillor H. T. J. Thacker urging the direct discontinuance of the subsidy of 2s per day, was held oxer.
