WESTPOBT, May 22. | The Court of Arbitration commenced i its Sittings here today, when a number' of workers' compensation cases wcie- i dealt with. | In the case, Nelson v. Westpovt Coal ' Company, the ijlaintiff, a coal-miner who had been, injured ia October, 1931, was awarded £341 19s. Id, in addition to £.175 10s 6d previously paid by way of weekly compensation. Margaret Collins, widow of Charles Collins, killed in the Westport Coal Company's Millerto a mine in. October last, recovered judgment for £970 13b id. Albert McLean, a' sawmill worker, a minor, was allowed £. til 17s 9<L against his employers, Bowater and Bryan, Limited, in.-addition to £81 os 4d paid by way of weekly, compensation, and the Court held that the defendant, was not entitled to deduct £44 17s 3d, the cost of treatment-at Queen Mary Hospital, Hanmer. , .;. I In the ease of Colligan and ' "W«stport Coal Company, Ltd., in which the plaintiff was an engine-driver/injured in August, 1930, the.
