SYDNEY, May 22. On the Stock Exchange today trading fell to a minimum, due to the influence of the impending Commonwealth loan. Values, however, were generally steady. Sales: Colonial Sugar, £57 12s 6d; Burns, Philp, 50s; Associated News (ord.), 8s 3d, (pref.), 18s 7'/6d; Howard Smith, 8s lOd; David Jones, 255; Dunlop-Perdriau, 17s 7%d; Gordon and Gotch, 335; Australian Gas, A, £7 3s; Winehcombe, Carson, 25s 6d; Willcox Mofflin, 6s 4d; South Broken Hill, 53s 7%d. Commonwealth bonds, 4 per cent., 1938, £103 8s 9d; 1941, £102 2s 6d; 1944, £103; 1947, £103 7s 6d; 1953, £103 15s; 1955, £104;. 1957, £102 7s 6d; 1961, £103 ss. MELBOURNE, May 22.
