ANNUAL CONFERENCE
The annual meeting of the New Zealand Wrestling Union was held in Wellington this week. Delegates present were:—Wellington, the president (Mr. H; D.'Bennett), Messrs. J. •V. Willis and E. Xynneberg, and secretary of the union, Mr. G. R. Bennett; Palmerston North, Messrs. T. F. Belling and A. Hopwood; Canterbury, Mr. N. S. Bachelor; Napier, Mr. A. Bain (also representing Picton); Auckland, Messrs.;J. H. Kinnear and W. H. Ready; Hastings, Mr. H. B. Bunny; Otago, Messrs. C. L. Piner and T. Casserley;, Waikato,;Mr. V. S. Harris. Respectful reference was made by the president to the loss by death of Mr. H. Divers and .Mr.' John Brown, of Dunedin; and Mr. T.- S. Miller, of Auckland. The annual report was read and approved. It was announced that four more of the men engaged in America would be on'the Makura arriving <jn May 29. These were Jack, Clarke, Varga, Alamos, and Perry., It was /also, stated that the arrangement* provided for i two more men to come over about'half-way through the season.. Dan Kbloff land Gus.Sonnenburg were named as the possible»two. Both,1 however, required special inducements, as they were big'draw cards in "America. Much time .was again devoted to the question of allowing submission falls for amateurs. : Previous decisions forbidding its allowance were) reaffirmed.
