DEAR MY PIXIES:
In two weeks every elf among you must wish our Fairy Ring "Many Happy Returns," for on the last Saturday of this month it will be ... Six ... years ... old! When the Ring first started there were not ten pixies in it, and now there are hundreds of you twenty-five hundred last time we counted! .. . and isn't that a large number? I've' more small ones to look after than a Queen Bee in a hive, and you all know how busy bees are. .. . Scvapbooks next week, lovsd ones, or not a minute .later than Tuesday, the twenty-third, for they will be judged on the day after, and they'll all need to be in time. Then on the Birthday Page I'll tell you all about them which rlf made the best, where they are to go, and who is to take them. It's always excitement when our Birthday Page happens! A wee short letter tonight, for there's crowds of stories to be squeezed in, here, there, and all-over-the-place. And I'm glad some of you thought of special stories for the Birthday they will fit just beatitifully. Happiness to you all, the whole of holiday-times. FAIRIEL.
We're playing explorers, Meg and me, And Desmond and Golly and Bumblebee. We're- sending Desmond out ahead To see if we're on the road to bed. "BROWN OWL" (13). Newtotvn.
