FOR FREE AMBULANCE
EUCHRE PARTY AND DANCE
A successful euchre party and dance was held recently at the Pahautanui Assembly Hall. The object of the gathering was to help raise funds for the Wellington Free Ambulance. The room was crowded, and the event was most successful. The pecuniary results were very satisfactory. The euchre prizes were donated by Mesdames W. Br,adey, W. Nicol, H. Tregurtha, and Messrs. F. Brady, J. Harris, E. Staee, E. Galloway, C. Stuart, and V. Burt. A beautifully decorated cake was also donated by Mr. T. Byan (Porirua). Tho ladies' committee (Mesdames G. Iggclden, E. Galloway, W. and S. Boulton, J. Death, H. Tregurtha, . W. Nicol, C. Jones, W. Harris, and F. Brady) was congratulated on the success which attended its efforts. ' The euchre tourney was conducted by Messrs. F. Bradcy and J. Harris, and the duties of M.C. wore carried out.by Messrs. S. Boulton and A. Nieol. In introducing Superintendent F. Eoft'e, Mr, Bradey said the residents of Pahautanui thoroughly, appreciated the splendid work already carried out by the Ambulance. Superintendent Boffe addressed the gathering, and, on behalf of the president and members of the Ambulance Board, returned their grateful thanks to all who had assisted in raising contributions. Tho dance music was supplied by an excellent orchestra, and the extras were played by Miss Josephine Bradey.
