WEDDINGS

EDWARDS—-ELLIS. Tho marriage was solemnised recently at Christ's Church, Papakufa, Auckland, of Jean Elizabeth, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrsi H. Ellis, Northland, Wellington, to Herbert, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. OVA. Edwards, Pntea, Taranaki. Tho Rev. W. Wood officiated. Tho bride, who was escorted by Mr. Edwards (Auckland), wore a graceful gown of ivory crepe satin, cut on classical lines, with long fitting sleeves, the skirt flaring fr,om the knees formed a short train; over which fell a beautiful Chantilly lace veil (the ; gift of the bride's grandmother); which was worn well off the face. She carried a sheaf of Easter lillies, dahlias, and madenhair fern. She was attended by her sister, Miss Betty Ellis, who wore an exact replica of the bride's frock in gold crinkled velvet. , She carried a posy of cold toned roses and dahlias. Mr. Len Prangley (Auckland) was best man. . .'..-. A reception was hnld at the home of the bridegroom's brother, Mr. H. Edwards, only relatives and close friends being present. Mrs. Ellis (mother of the bride) wore an ensemble of wine marocain with an,angel skin lace coatee and a small hat to tone. Later the bride and bridegroom left for the north, the bride travelling in a carnation green crushed velvet frock and grey coat. Their future home will be in Auckland.
