MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Mr. E. Page, S.M., presided at a sitting of the Magistrate's Court today. Martin Carr, a labourer, aged 31, was fined 10s, in default three days' imprisonment, for his second offence of drunkenness. ■• ' . ■ Four first -offenders for drunkenness were convicted and discharged. 'On a charge of indecently assaulting another male at Palmerstou North, Ronald Luigi Berretti, a boot repairer, aged 30, was remanded until Wednesday. Bail was allowed in the sum of £250, with a surety for a like amount. A remand until Wednesday was granted also in the case of Claude Frederick Mallard, a bookbinder, aged 25, who was charged with breaking and entering the house of Emma Jane Barrett, 84 Oban Street, and committing theft. Bail in the suni of £75, with a surety for £75, was allowed.
