LONDON CONFERENCE
MR. HOLLAND'S VIEW
HIGH COMMISSIONER SHOULD ACT
(By Telegraph.—-Press Association.) CHRISTCPUKCH, This Day. Exception to cither the Prime Minister or the Minister of Finance going to the World Economic Conference in London was taken by the Loader of the Opposition (Mr. H. E. Holland) at Kaiapoi last evening. "Enough harm was done at Ottawa to last for a year or two," said Mr. Holland. "Whatever Mr. Forbes could do or Mr. Coates could do, or both could do, the High Commissioner could do equally well. It would save the cost of sending them there, and probably save the country from coming to a great deal of haxm while they were away. (Laughter.) The harm done at Ottawa has made the country dubious about sending them Oh another excursion."
