ASSISTANCE APPRECIATED
(To the Editor.) Sir,—ln reference to the recent appeals made by me to the public ,for assistance now that all searchers from my club and the associate clubs have returned, I have on behalf of the Tararua Tramping Club to thank the members of the public who so willingly subscribed towards the expenses of the search and to those who gave their services and lent their cars for the loug journeys that had to be undertaken. I would also like to. express my appreciation to the many young men belonging to the various tramping and '~ al-' pine clubs; and to. the Radio Emergency Corps, and to those others who belong to no club,.for their ready willingnea to set out under the worst conditions iv an endeavour to aid those requiring assistance.
