DUTY ON CANNED FRUIT
■Referring to a letter frorn'Kirkpatrick and Co. concerning the duty on canned fruit, "Sunvipe". writes that, the letter was very fair as:far as it went, but his experience as a grocer has been that .the public are prepared to 'pay more for the Australian fruit and, if it is. taxed out of the country, .their next choice will be American fruit.
