HIGHER EDUCATION
Sixteen courses in radio broadcasting and ' programme building, are being offered in colleges and universities of the ; United States. More than; fifty other institutions of higher learning, which do,.not .offer formal courses in this .field, provide some instruction in broadcasting in connection with other courses or to voluntary groups in the university. ... The courses deal with radio speaking, theory and practice of broadcasting, the writing of plays, poetry and speeches for radio, programme planning, acting, advertising, singing, eartraining, body poise and control, vocabulary building, and engineering. It is quite.a mistake to suppose that broadcasting is an electrical'job.
