ADDINGTON STOCK SALES.

Today's was the largest offering at the Addington market for an ordinary sale for years. Values showed a sharp fall to a level not previously reached. ■ The store sheep entry was smaller than recently. It was an erratic sale. Ewes barely maintained late rates, wethers were, cheaper, and ewe lambs advanced Is a head. Good' fine-woolled ewe lambs made 8s 3d to Os id; ordinary, 4s 9d to us Id;.-average' m.s., 3s to ss; cull, Is to 2s 3d; ordinary s.m.- halfbred ewes, 4s 10d_ to 5s 4d; aged and inferior, Is 3d to 2s" 3d; forward halfbred wethers, Os 3d to 7s 7d; medium, to 6s. Fat lambs: An entry of 3000 head. The export schedule was down l-8d a lb, but the market maintained late rates. Extra prime heavy sold to 16a 7d; prime heavy, 13s 3d to 15s; prime medium weight, 11s to 13s; light, Ss Gd to 10s Gd. Fat sheep: An entry of 4SOO head constituted an over-supply. Last week's rates were barely maintained. Extra prime heavy wethers sold to 18s 7d; prime heavy, 14s 9d to 16s 6d; prime medium weight, 12s 6d to 14s 6d; ordinary, 10s 6d to 12s; light, 8s 6d to 10s; extra prime ewes, to 13s 7d; prime heavy, 10s Gd to lls 6d; prime medium weight, Ss to 10s; ordinary, 6s to 7s 6d; light, 4a to 5s 6d. Fat cattle: An entry of 563 head. It was a very dragging sale, with a general fall of £1 to £1 10s a head for medium and good sorts. Inferior types were hard to quit. Best beef sold to 18s a 1001b; good prime, 15s to 17s; heavyweight medium beef, 12s Gd to 15s Gd; Rood heifor. 13s to 15s 6d; good cow, lls to 14s; secondary cow. 9s to lls; and rough down to Gs. Extra prime heavy steers sold to £9; prime heavy, £6 to £7 10s; prime -medium weight, £5 10s to £7; ordinary, £3 10s to £5; light, £1 17s Cd to £3; extra prime heifers, to £5 17s Gd; prime, £3 10s to £5; medium, £2 os to £3 5s;1 light, £1 7s 6d to £2; extra prime cows, to £5 12s Gd; prime, £3 to £4; medium, £2 to £3; light, £1 2s 6d to £2. Fat pigs: A very heavy entry. Values fell sharply with a decline of %d a lb for both porkers and baconers. Choppers sold to £3 IBs; baconers, 32s 6d to 435; heavy. 44s to 54s Gd; average price peri lb, 3 IM to 4d. Porkers, 21s to 24s fid; heavy, to 28s Cd; average price per lb, 4Vid to'4%d.
