YOUTHS ARRESTED
CAR CONVERSION CHARGE
Two youths pushing a baby ear away from a picture theatre in ( Kensington Avenue, Petone, at about 0.15 p.m. yesterday aroused the suspicions of Constable L. E. Honeybone, and as he approached them they bolted. The constable gave chase, and after a strenuous pursuit captured one of them. The other escaped, but was arrested later in the ■evening. This morning in the Petone Court before Mr. T. Potts, J.P., the two youths, one aged 18, and unemployed, the other a clerk, aged 10, both residents of Petone, were charged with converting to their own use a car valued at £80, the property o£ Robert liaine. Mr. G. Findlay appeared on their behalf. They were remanded on bail to appear at Petone on Wednesday, and their names were ordered to be suppressed.
