CRICKET UMPIRES
MEMBERSHIP CAMPAIGN
Although the 1932-33 cricket season has closed and players are taking a spell from the game, the Wellington Umpires' Association does not intend to be inactive during the off-season, and at the last meeting of the association it was decided to conduct an extensive campaign during the winter months among the clubs with a view "to increasing the membership. At least 30 additional umpires arc required in order that all the Cricket Association's matches inuy be controlled. Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Lambert said that he thought the , time had arrived when the rides and constitution of the association should be revised, and a sub-committee consisting of Messrs. Steele, Tooinath, Lambert, McKcnzic, und Holloway was set up to draft a new constitution during Iho winter, ready for presentation, at the next annual meeting.
