LITTLE INTEREST IN MASTERTON
(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.") ■ ' MASTEBTON, This Day. The municipal elections are not occasioning much interest and it appears likely that no poll, will be necessary. Two of the retiring members of the Masterton Borough Council, Messrs. W. H. Saunders and J. L. Murray, have definitely decided not to seek re-elec-tion, and Mr. H. J. O'Leary, the veteran councillor, will probably retire on \ account of health reasons. The other retiring members are all .being re-nomi-nated. The Mayor, Mr. T.. Jordan, has agreed to stand again, and it is probable that he will be returned unopposed. Tho retiring Wairarapa repre: sentatiyes on the Wellington Harbour Board, Messrs. Hugh Morrison and T. E. Barrer, and the Masterton Borough representatives on , the Wairarapa Power Board, Messrs. H. P. Hugo and B. J. King, are all seeking re-election. So far no opponents havo been announced.
