Arrangements are well in hand i'or a successful carnival to be held at Eastbourne at Easter time, and as the funds raised are to be devoted to the relief of distress, it is expected that the carnival will be well patronised. An energetic committee is making every endeavour to provide plenty of entertainment on the beach over the holiday season, and those who pati'onise the popular seaside resort should be well rewarded for their trouble, in addition to which they will have the knowledge that they are helping in a worthy object. Special boat services are being arranged at cheap return fares, including admission to the fair. The queen carnival, which js to be one of the main sources of raising revenue, is proving very popular. A community sing for Miss Britannia's birthday party is to.'bo held in the Day's Bay pavilion on Thursday evening, and it will bo followed by a dance.
