DISCHARGE TO BE OPPOSED
A.meeting of creditors in the bankrupt estate of Wolf Kozental, draper, Wellington, was held at the office of jthe Official Assigneo (Mr. S. Tansley) yesterday. ... The amount .owing ;to unsecured creditors was shown as £432, and there were no assets. The principal creditors were Mrs. Edzen, £250; Mrs. Rbzental, £50; Alibot, Orafm, and Co., Ltd., £42; and S. Eiske, £36." / Bankrupt, in his sworn statement, said ho came from Australia in 1925, and started a draper's business in'Newtown. He then had only about £40 in cash. He carried on the business until 1931, when on account of business being bad ho called a meeting of creditors and assigned,his, estate to them; He was out of work for • some time prior to January last, but latterly ho had been working for his wife. He was at present receiving no Avages, and could not make an offer to Ins creditors. In reply to question's, bankrupt said he was unemployed from September till the end of January last. Certain goods which had been sold at auction during that period and> subsequent to it were disposed of for his wife, who received payment for the goods sold. The Official Assignee said there was apparently, nothing in the estate. On the motion of Mr. K. L. A. Cresswell, seconded by Mr. JVC. Fabian, a resolution was, passed expressing dissatisfaction with bankrupt's statement in regard to his business relations with his wife, and it was resolved that bankrupt's discharge be opposed until he paid a dividend of 5s in the £.
