SUN WILL BE COLDEE CHEERFUL PREDICTION

, (Received April 8, noon.) WASHINGTON, April 7. A prediction that the sun will be colder for the next two years, with the possibility that the earth will be affected in a way as yet unknown, -was issued on' Friday by Dr. Charles G. Abbot, secretary of the Smithsonian Institute. Dr. Abbot has already had some success as a predictor of the sun's weather. In 1930 lie forecast two warm years on such a basis, and this in general has been fulfilled. His prediction is based on the long study of the periodical rises and falls in the sun's heat.
