ST. JAMES THEATRE.
A gala revival week of that glorious alltechnicolour operetta, "The Song of the Flame," will commence at the St. James Theatre tomorrow. Adapted from the famous stage production of the same name, "Song of the Flame" is a thrilling blend of music, adventure, colour, romance, and superb acting. The lyrics were written by Oscar Hammersteln and Otto Harbach, who have identified themselves with a host of beautiful musical plays, while George Gershwin, of "Rhapsody in Blue" fame, composed the music. The songs include the stirring "Song of the Flame" itself, "The Cossack Love Song," "Wander Aw»y,"
"Liberty," "The Goose Hangs High," and the beautiful "Love Duet" by Bernice Claire and Alexander Gray, the most popular pair of singing stars in the cinema,. Noah Beery sings "One Little Drink" with a fine basso-profundo voice, and Alice Gentle, a grand opera artist, ia heard In several brilliant solos.
