At 120s per oz. the £1 sterling is worth about'Ws 2d. ■ The price of gold has been tending downwards since January last, when:it averaged^l23s per oz. Its record price was 130s Sd per oz. on November 30 last. For February the price was round about 121s 6d, and for March 120s 6d.
