PETONE AND LOWER HUTT

A special Gazette notice, cancelling the former regulations under the Shops and Offices Act governing the hours of business of fruiterers' shops in the combined district of Petone and Lower Hutt, and taking effect from today, provides that such shops shall be closed on the evenings of working days as follows: —Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays 11 p.m., with the excoption of the evening of working days immediately preceding Good Friday, Anzac Day, and the King's Birthday, when the closing hour shall be 11 p.m.
