SECOND MURDER TRIAL
SENTENCE OF FIVE YEARS

Joseph Norman Pitre, tho first man in tho history of British jurisprudence to face a second murder trial after once being acquitted, was,sentenced to imprisonment for a term of five years on Friday, following his conviction of murdering George Smith, a storekeeper. His brother, Wallace, received tho same sentence-for robbery with violence in connection, with the same case, .
