(Received March 25, 2 p.m.)
LONDON, March. 24. Cross-examined, Stewart said he did j not remember discussing mechanical matters -with. Obst. He did not know Obst 's profession. He denied that he ever gave Marie Louise information for money. He terminated his visits to Berlin because it was risky." His letter* to Obst was not a warning that.it-was-all up. It was absurd to suggest that £50 was paid to him for information communicated to Obst or Maria Louise.
Stewart was returned to the Tower after six hours and a half in the wit» ness-box.
