:An attractive programme, has been drawn up for ■ the Easter regatta at Paremata, and with strong representation likely from all the local clubs it is hoped to equal last year's record, when fifty-nine centreboard boats competed in the various events. Details of-the programme are as follows:—"
Good Friday, April 14:—10 a.m., Quirke Memorial Plaque, first'series of three races,' Takapuna; class handicap (10-minute limit); 10.15 a.m., first-class sweepstake (14ft), handicap, 2s 6d per boat; 10.30 a.m., second-class handicap (14ft and under), (10-minuto limit); 11 a.m., idle-along handicap (10-minute limit); 2.30 p.m., first-class general handicap (8-minute limit for this race only). All boats, competing in this race are classified first class for, remainder of regatta. 3 p.m., .Tauranga class handicap. •■-■.-.

Cup Race at Titahi Bay.Aihoiiff the items of Titalii Bay's -baster carnival is a valuable cup which will no doubt bo- known as the Titahi Cup, ,to be raced for at Titahi Bay. The Pliinmerton Boating Club has been given an invitation to competefpr this trophy, and it is the intention of therclub, weather permitting to send a.fleet of its fastest boats to compete. Hopes have been expiessed that Paremata also will be.able to see its way clear to detach one or two of its boats from the Easter regatta /to take part in the race, which will be held as opportunity offers, either on faster • Saturday, or Easter Monday Yachtsmen anticipate that this inaugural event will, be the forerunner of the establishment at Titahi Bay. of a yacht .club, in harmonious competition with Plimmertohl and-Paremata. r Evans Bay Notes. ViceCommodore Leslie Ibbotson is now in charge of the club's affairs. _ Today's races are probably the most important on the club's programme, lney are for special trophies presented /^r i, 6 " Koyal st- Kil.da ::Yacht Club (Melbourne),;the Akarana Yacht Club (Auckland), and tho .Canterbury lacht and Motor-boat Club (Lyttelton). Ihess three trophies are for a general handicap for both: ke^l yacht classes" a general handicap fdr Rbria-Jellicoe boats, and first-class centre-boarders combined, and a general handicap for the combined 13ft and under and second-class centre-boarders. The Otago Yacht and Motor-boat Club has also given a trophy for launches. These four clubs are kindred clubs withiivansßay. Members of' one club visiting the other clubs, are assured of a welcome, and are entitled to a trip in a yacht or. launch iv whatever .harbour they are visiting. 'It is" a, bona^ between .the .yachtsmen, of., the various' centres. In Melbourne " this season there is.a,race for a trophy given by the Evans Bay Club. A race is beine Iu?,, 111 Auckland for"a similar trophy. Tho Romp, Rawene,' Annetta, Kotari; Ariki, and Buzz went to Worsor Bay last Sunday; in the .hope of seeing the Colleen lift the Hie-Along Shield for Lv.ans Bay. Evaa.Julian was picked as her skipper, and he had with him beorge Anstice and Phil Harlen The Vikmg towed the challenger rotind from Evans Bay. Unfortunately the Colleen had trouble with the mainsheet and had to be content with fifth place having tailed tho field for,most of tho course. Worser Bay Club. The socond race ior the Speirs Cup was sailed off at Worser Bay on Hatu^ clay the Butterrib being tho winner Ly the nairow margin of three seconds froDi the Demon. The first boat to cross tho line was tho O X Baby (Bmin), but the breeze was a little light for her crow. Tho wind at the commencement of tho race was quite fresh, and practically all the crews anticipated that it would keep fresh whereas it dropped. away, late in the race. The Kea, last year's winner of the cup, was allowed 4inin and certainly sailed better than she usually does. Some structural alterations had been made, bringing her within " the Idle-along restricted "class. Tho "Kiwi," Butterrib, and the-Demon were given 4min each, but the first-named boat with' three of a crow dropped back in the failing wind. The Demon drew ahead ana was pointing well in the secY ond lap, but she lost the wind, and the Butterrib overtaking her, the two boats finished almost on terms, the Butterrib being slightly in the lead. "The Spinet, Lady Grace, and Ranui were off at the 2min mark, but were giving too much time to find a place. The Result (scr) picked up a lot of time, but was unabie to catch the Butterrib ana the Demon.. Finishing times were: Butterrib, 4h'som 30s, 1; Demon 4h 50m 335, 2; Result, 4h 51m 12s, 3. The Idol, a now Idle-along boat .launched on Sunday, was third in the championship on Sunday. A fcweepstake lace was sailed off in the morning, and was won by. the Result.
